Not really my style. Very ripe and extracted, it’s got chocolatey notes that I associate with but tend not to enjoy in big, ripe wines. The chocolately notes override the nice fruit and gravel notes (which are somewhat overmatched). It’s very full and a bit warm in the mouth. The tannins are there but soft in nature and at an appropriate level in view of the deep fruit. Acidity is low.

It was good, but over priced because it was a 2005, didn't leave a lasting impression and won't be added to the wine cellar.
