Not really my style. Very ripe and extracted, it’s got chocolatey notes that I associate with but tend not to enjoy in big, ripe wines. The chocolately notes override the nice fruit and gravel notes (which are somewhat overmatched). It’s very full and a bit warm in the mouth. The tannins are there but soft in nature and at an appropriate level in view of the deep fruit. Acidity is low.

I found the restraint pleasant, and the vintage balanced w fruit and an introverted earthiness.

Earthy olive nose. Quite tannic when tasted early. Opens well after about an hour.

Not that persistent as expected, but a very nice Grand Cru

It was good, but over priced because it was a 2005, didn't leave a lasting impression and won't be added to the wine cellar.
