Good fruit, good acid, but tannin and overall mouthfeel are pretty meh. Might just be my cold though...

Remarkable balance for this kind of age. Juicy, plummy on the palate. Cherries, cassis, violets pushed forward. Already fairly easy to drink and showing fresh acidity.

A much better showing than my last bottle from nearly three years ago. Popped and poured; consumed over two days. While this delivered from the start, I found it most enjoyable on the second day. Dark cherries reminiscent of a kriekenlambiek, pencil shavings, tobacco, earth. Deft balance. Tannins have integrated at this point. I thought it was a very high quality Cru Bourgeois and easily worthy of the sub-$50 price.

Bright red fruit entry, good acid, slightly lean mid-palate, nice cherry and spice on the finish. Nice but lacks weight.

Kirsch, forest floor, pencil shavings. Tannins are heavy. Years to go on this but I'm unsure that it will improve much.

Tightly wound and needs some air. Earthy - reminds me of dark chocolate and roasted nuts with some incense and dark fruits. It fizzles a bit on the finish, but it’s tasty overall.

Very smooth wine: Low acid, fruit forward , with a light spice finish.
