Aug 25th, 2019Wow I don’t drink a lot of Bordeaux but this was for a very special birthday and a big bottle seems in order ... it lived up to all expectations ... filled with many savory aromas in flavors like mushrooms, beef jerky, soy sauce but then also the trademark graphite/pencil lead quality. At 19 still seemed to have some years left to go before peaking!
Happy 4th 🇺🇸

Vintage 1991 | The year with the devastating 20 April frosts… but Montrose escaped because it lies close to the river. Very much alive and kicking. Italian roofs colour. Classic smell with figs, cedar, leather, harmonious taste, vibrant. Happy! | With Chateaubriand | at restaurant Cas Pikaar in Hilvarenbeek

1 person found it helpfulJul 10th, 2021Taking the way back machine to a "difficult" (not very good) Bordeaux vintage. Decant for sediment(decent amount) and pour. A tantalizing medium red/brown color. On the nose: green veggies, dark cherries, mint, forest floor explode from the glass. Taste: red fruit, mocha, mushrooms, chocolot... with a light/medium finish. Drink em if you got um!
