Dark ruby hue. Aromas of bell pepper, cassis, licorice, and plum. Full-bodied, with full tannins and med-plus acidity. Intense but structured and rounded on palate.

Blend of Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). Dark garnet color. Aromas and flavors of black currant, blackberries, dark chocolate, beef jerky, black tea, figs and tobacco. Kevin Zraly mentioned Hoisin Sauce in his review! Mineral and wet gravel on the finish. Full bodied but quite pure and elegant. Excellent structure and length. Fabulous!

Big bad & beefy, cocoa & leather with softness from 60% merlot. Lingering finish, rich mouthfeel. Great QPR.

A highly rated Bordeaux blend that came off as flat to me. No clear fruit flavors and a dry finish.

Big bad Bordeaux, heavy and dark with loads of flavour for such a young wine. The nose is not hugely powerful but it is a nice combination of oak, cedar, menthol and spiced fruits. On the palate and after opening for an hour, this is almost creamy in texture, like a blackcurrant, plum and tobacco pie. There is tannin and acidity but they are balanced and allow this wine to be enjoyed young but I am sure in 10 years and once mature, this will be outstanding.

Feeling this wine! Very dark color. Playful, complex nose. Not overly tannic. Drinking well so young. 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. $33 for half bottle at Total Wine. Get more of this! There is a second wine, Angelique de Monbousquet.

Barrel Sample, what a wine! This will be a great buy in 2016 Bordeaux. Don't miss it! 93-95pts
