This is a darn good, highly-extracted Bordeaux. Almost reminds me of a hypothetical blend of a Pessac and a Napa Cab. Intense nose jumps from the glass with cassis, dark baker’s chocolate, and cigar box. Intense and mouthfilling, it’s palate-staining and still puckery with tannins. The flavors are very clingy and long, with loads of savory, dark gravelly flavors taking the lead. Soft acids.

Excellent. Very fresh, great balance of red fruit, acid, tannin. Very expressive, paid €25 would have been happy at €40

Unreal wine. I wish they’d email me back. Tobacco, herbal nose, weedy, but also tweedy, and just so English Library. Palate is soft yet rich with terrific freshness and purity. Sappy and sweet but also lively with the terrific acidity. Velvety tannins and sick purity. No rush but a joy now.

Ripe nose. Ripe than 2011 for sure. Licorice, cassis, cranberry, potent and fruity. Earthy and feral as well. Nice palate, big and ripe with terrific freshness and purity. Serious structure and density here. Needs a few hours to untangle itself. Very pure. Great wine.

Classic Pessac nose. Gravel, cassis, cherry, spice, menthol, green tea. Great stuff aromatically. Palate is soft and ripe with velvety tannins. Terrific structure and freshness. Very vibrant. Long and lingering. Really always love a nice Pessac. Unique character.

Decanted about 20 minutes and wowee is this drinking fine right now! Super smooth and round with cherries a dash of pepper, tea, and a little tug of tannins. All in one of my favorite Bordeaux experiences so far.
