Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

2015 vintage. This estate produces both Margaux and Haut-Médoc under the Château name. This Haut-Médoc is produced from 4 plots of vines in Macau, situated between Cantemerle and Giscours. A blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Slightly smoky oak and cassis in the nose. Generous taste with purity and charm. Good length with oak a little bit dominating in the finish. This should be perfect in about a year, but attractive already like many 2015s. Good value too at about 22 euro. Would have scored higher with better integrated oak.

Garagiste selection. $23.71. Great value. Rich tannins.

Cedar-y, dried cherry, tobacco. Just enough tannin support for the dried fruit. Good depth, balance and length. Over-performs for its price point.

Really nice Bordeaux for the $.

For Fung 50/40/10 Cab Merlot petit Verdot that’s luscious but well balanced with lots of red fruited floral notes into velvety texture

Easy drinking middle of the road Bordeaux. Soft tannins, somewhat subdued fruit and medium bodied.

Easy drinking Bordeaux. Again left bank. Plenty of acidity that brought it out of balance for the first hour but mellowed and started to present vibrant blue berry, marionberry fruit with light, small grained tannins.
