Made in an oxidative style (and I typically have to “think” my way around reflexively not wanting to smell or drink oxidative styles). Has the color of an old trumpet you found in the attic that belonged to your great grandfather. Lots of oxidative nuttiness on the nose, but underneath there is a little apricot and date. Bone dry in the mouth, but despite the oxidative flavors the impression is one of great freshness. Interesting yin and yang. I’m not sure I’m enjoying it but it’s interesting to sip and think about.
