The 2021 Marjosse Blanc is terrific. In 2021, the Blanc has a bit more texture than normal, which works so well in playing off the natural energy that is such a signature here. Lemon confit, flowers, lime and a touch of marzipan all grace this engaging dry white from Pierre Lurton. $22.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2022)

This estate is owned by Pierre Lurton (who is also in charge of lesser-known estates Cheval Blanc and Yquem). 2018 was the first vintage where the 4 white grape varieties were picked and vinified separately in order to finetune the blend which has led in this vintage to 44% Sauvignon blanc, 32% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon gris and 4% Muscadelle. No wood. Brilliant light yellow. Attractive nose with pineapple, white peach, grapefruit and a hint of fresh mint. The same fruits show up in the mouthfilling ripe taste, balanced by crisp acidity and a fresh minty long aftertaste. This is absolutely delicious and great value at less than 15 euros.

All sorts of mineral and chervil and just blooming honeysuckle. Golden hued with a bit of sap. All sort of understated but just complex enough and thirst quenching enough to keep one going. I believe there is a goodly amount of Semillon and a smidge of Muscadelle at play here, it is not especially expressive of Sauvignon Blanc but, you get it. Quite elegant. Rather balanced. I can drink a lot of it. And I suppose I shall it’s lockdown time, what else to do?

This is what other crowd pleasing wines drink when they’re at a party. Lush and fruit sweet, no round edges. Flavor profile that veers towards tropical - melon, pineapple, with a squeeze of citrus. Pithy texture that rounds as it warms in the glass. Soft finish. Tasty

A stunning value, Pierre Lurton’s 2018 Marjosse Blanc is loaded with citrus, mint and white flower notes. This mid-weight, crisp, dry Bordeaux is a fabulous aperitif wine, but will also drink well at the table with lighter fare. It is an ideal wine for the spring and summer months. $15.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2019)

Citrus, mineral, wet stones, on the soft side and showing a warm vintage well.

Deep yellow. A bit high viscosity. Matured pear. Orange skin. Rounded but with enough acidity. CH.MARJOSSE BLANC 07 @2530, Enoteca JH, 231229-240127

I was pleasantly surprised by this wine. The nose has a ton of citrus, most specifically lemon and orange. However, the taste really opens up to include grapefruit and other fruits. Not overly sweet, and more on the tart side, this was a great white wine for someone who does not like sweet whites. Also, crazy good value.
