WOW! Haven't had wine this good since France...sigh. love this, so complex with a beautiful color. Lovely on the nose, I hesitate to drink it since the aroma is so pleasant. They should make candles that smell this nice. Beautifully balanced with just the right amount of earth, tannins, fruit. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Good Margaux but not as good as I was expecting. Fruitier to start and less earth than i had hoped. Unquestionably a good Bordeaux but not outstanding. Disappointing at its $70 price point.

2014 vintage. Leaner and not as fleshy or voluptuous as the last bottle of this (tasted 12.7.21 and rated 9.4). A bit more direct which was still pretty decent. 4.6.23.

Received all these Bordeaux futures I had ordered a few years ago this week, so I thought I better get with it. This 8 year old Bordeaux blend from the Margaux area was great. All this nice deep dark dusty earth flavors transported me to the dungeons where they probably stored the wine …. at least in my imagination 😋. We drank it too quick as it kept evolving and expressing itself more and more as time progressed. Paired great with now our favorite Havarti cheese from Denmark (really hard to admit for a Dutchman as we all pledged the allegiance to Gouda cheese at elementary school). Cheers!

NOSE: plum, cherry, soft cassis, raspberry leaf, wet earth (mud!), a little fig, and a mild toffee/coffee note that I associate w/Bordeaux. All very restrained.

TASTE: well made. Leaves, earth, cherry, plum, smooth tannins with that nice toffee bordeaux taste. A little cassis on the finish. Good, grownup wine! Not worth the price to me - but good, grownup wine. 92.

2014 vintage. Plushy nose. That big-bodied, Malescot style. Voluptuous and sexy mouthfeel. Silky tannins with a little plummy cherry exeunt. Wine of seduction. Watch out.
