From a particularly ripe year this wine is already more expressive than usual. With just 10% semillon in the Blend, the Sauvignon comes wonderfully to the fore: Ripe pear, lemon, green apple, gooseberry, beeswax, white flowers, white peach, a kiss of toasted oak, flint, struck match and wet stone. Crisp acidity, medium body and wonderfully long on the finish. It has another decade of pleasure at least but it’s hard to resist now.
