Second course w/ the 2010 Echo de Lynch Bages paired w/ Stuffed Quail w/ Huckleberry Sauce, Pommes Gaufrettes.

Even though this is a 2nd wine, it shows the quality and age ability of the 10 vintage.

The body is full with big tannins. Dark currants, spice, dark cherries, blackberries, black raspberries, creamy strawberries, cigar, dry clay, dry stones, graphite, limestone, softened leather with fresh & dry dark florals with deep violets haunting the long finish. The acidity & finish are the best I’ve tasted in all their Echo offerings.

This wine will continue to improve and further impress with another 8-10 years in bottle.

Excellent with the Quail.

Relatively shy pauillac as this year. Balanced with some herbaceous notes. Breathing for more than 2 hours is needed if opened these few years

On a frigid night with a delightful meal - dreaming of September in Pauillac.

Blackberry, menthol, and earth. Juicy, mid bodied, a little tobacco in the mid palate, lingering mid+tannin finish. Tasty
