Château Lynch-Bages
Blanc de Lynch-Bages White Bordeaux Blend
Wifey’s Thai curry in the background.
Muted nose. What you do get is a whiff of spring, and not much else.
Palate displays lychees, peach and nectarines. These notes are complimented by minerals such as limestone and granite. Lovely sense of urgency on the mid palate, with moderate sweetness brings you back for more. The French have SB’s on lock.

These are good young but, needs 6-10 plus to really shine and show more on the palate.
The nose reveals; melon tropicals, stone fruits, white citrus, beautiful minerality, wet stones, yellow lilies and spring flowers.
The body is thick, rich and just touch waxy. Melon tropicals, pineapple, stone fruits, white citrus, gripping volcanic minerality, white spice, wet stones, yellow lilies and spring flowers. Excellent round acidity and balanced, well polished finish. Picks up 2-4 points with the right bottle age.

May 20th, 2019On the nose, stone fruits, pineapple, green melon, soft chalkiness with spring flowers.
The body is round, full & gluey. The acidity is slightly off. Stone fruits, pineapple, green melon, Meyer lemon, just a touch of green apple skin, edgy minerality, powdery chalkiness with spring flowers.
Needs some time in bottle.

Great acidity, this wine has tremendous earthiness. Great on its own better with food.

Nov 12th, 2021Light crisp and refreshing. Not particularly deep or complex. Modest melon and fleshy fruit. Slightly flinty on the finish. Definitely drinkable and perfect for a relaxing summer evening.
