A blend of mostly Merlot with a little Cabernet Franc, deep ruby red color with a bouquet of dark black fruit, and a slight herb nose, aged for 12 months in oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currant and cherry, with licorice and herbs. Fine grainy tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and a touch of earthy mineral notes.

The 2015 BDX continue to amaze and this Fronsac fits the bill. No decanting necessary. Jumping out of the bottle with beautiful red fruit and cassis notes, silky, and nicely balanced and integrated tannins, at such a young age, I am amazed. Feels like drinking a Grand Cru from a slightly lesser vintage. Great value too. If I can find it, I’ll buy a case. Hopefully two.

Surprised by the tannins given 85% Metlot but still a very enjoyable wine. Loved the 09 and a bit unsure about this one.

A blend of Merlot (83%) and Cabernet Franc (17%), I notice deep ruby color with a bouquet of dark black fruit, and a slight herb nose. Aged for 12 months in oak, the palate was full of fruit, blackberry and cherry, supple very chalky tannins, adding the right touch mineral to provide a nice structure and balance. This full body wine had a lingering finish, with enough complexity for future aging. Enjoyable!
