Initially a balsamic note that blew off. Cedar and beet greens, tobacco and weathered, dry, dead tree and rum-soaked cherry greet the nose. Elegant mouthfeel with pronounced tar and burnt toast over black currant and Kalamata olives, prune, black sands, red cherry, and blackberry. Chewy, delicious and a sure sign Halloween is in the air!

Proof that you can get lucky…and aging works! Paid under $20 for this and drank this amazing wine in on a whim 10+ years later tonight. Looked it up to see if I could get another and $135-250/bottle today. So fun drinking something awesome that we did nothing but cellar it and then enjoy!!! Very smooth blackberry, slight plum, and hint of smoke with light tannins.

A nice lighter side Bordeaux, with a bit of tannins upfront, not too much earth showing though. Don't get the lower ratings. Not killer but a nice glass of juice with cheeses before dinner.....enjoyable. Have more, so will let others age.

Awesome! Glad I have 10 more bottles. Lovely nose, nice fruit and power, and so smooth on the finish. Classic French Bordeaux that lived up to the expectations!

Light, fruit forward style of Bordeaux. Red currant, spice and mushroom nose. Black cherry and earthy notes, more spice and ash on the palate - noticeable legs, mellow tannins, easy drinking. Try with a really good wheat bread and a soft cheese.

Initial bread with butter scent followed my nice notes of cedar and raspberry. Very nice.

The character of the wines is always determined by the weather during the growing season, which in 2009 was perfect. Sun and warmth with just enough rain at times allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly.
