Chateau has a long history in the Saint Estephe appellation, dating back the 18th century. Chateau built for Thomas Barton, AKA Chateau Leoville Barton, in 1955 it was purchased by the Dourthe group. Dark crimson with berry, spice and earthy aromas. On the palate rich flavors of layered berry fruits moving towards jammy, complex fine dry soft tannins needing more time, opened up after 45 minutes. Lingering finish, nice acidity and balance, nice, recommend decanting.

Soja sauce scents with black cherry, dried plum and mocha. Medium-bodied. Greasy and creamy palate, lingers with a dry finish. Elegantly structured. Great value.
