Was missing Bordeaux after being home for 2 weeks. This wine from Pessac is simply amazing. Larrivet gets zero respect since it is next door to Haut Brion. Guess what...the quality is nearly identical for 1/10 the price. Earthy, chocolate notes, fruity, with a dry finish. Almost zero tannins and smoky flavor that persists forever. The 2009 vintage was also one of the best in the area for years.
