Disappointed…never opened up, will try again today..maybe its just dead..wine still had good color, red/slight black fruit, band aid, but just could pick up anything else over a few hrs…will revisit…

Fragrant, spicy nose, with some black currant leaf, graphite, cigar box and purple fruit. A little stiff and dusty at first, with a welcome if modest acid streak, finishing off with persistent tannins. A week in and this has actually improved quite a bit... easy to underestimate. Really generous, and I think this could have done another 5 years! Double decant recommended.

Ah, Bordeaux, can it be conquered? Right bank mellowness with violets, crushed petals, prunes on the back end. Incredibly light on its feet with a satisfying finish that lingers. Initially thought it was at peak but I think it has the grip to do a few more years.

Opened by mistake thought had multiple but was vertical of single bottle of '00-'09. Ruby color with purple tinge. Nice nose of dark fruits and earth. Peppers and savory on the palate. Supple and silky texture. Medium finish. 75% Merlot then Cab Franc. Drinking nicely. Should comp with other vintages!
Curious ave CVed (1/17/18).'06. More earthy ave funk on nose. Good balanced and acidic texture on palate and not as silky. Good long finish. 8.9. Perhaps more food friendly due to acidity.
