2022 vintage. I tasted this 8 months ago, and today it is even better. Another incredible Bordeaux value in a great vintage. 100% Merlot, from the excellent Château de la Dauphine. They don't mention this on their website, so I am not sure how it relates to their other wines. Normally about 10 euros a bottle ( which is a steal), and today I found this delicious organic wine in a local supermarket for 7,95 euro! Hard to beat for that price. Ripe and juicy, uncomplicated pleasure. Abv. 14%.

This is an excellent Right Bank wine that is actually 100% Merlot. It has exceptional balance, wonderful dryness, and light flavors like a Pinot. There are flavors of raspberry, plum, vanilla and a floral or perfume like undertone. The wine went ok with the chicken we paired it with, although something lighter was probably in order. This wine will probably age pretty well. I will be adding a couple of bottles to my cellar. It was a special at Whole Foods for $16-a real steal. A nice bottle in the middle of our vacation in Oregon.
