Superb €38 now £65 - a personal favourite from St Emilion in top year 👍 with fab QPR & a soft spot for me as I had this very same vintage from the barrel 😍

📍 Chateau La Confession 2010

🏵 94 points w/ more potential 😉

🍇 71% Merlot & 29% Cabernet Franc

🍷Deep opaque ruby w/ purple hue

👃 Chocolate coated black cherry, blackcurrant & dark plum through smokey oak, liquorice & wet crushed mineral rock w/ violets, peppered spices & herby mint

👄 Med+ creamy silky mocha dark berry plum bang w/ blackberry liquorice & oozing cracked minerals

🎯 Long mocha dark berry & plum slight dry mineral rock linger with a happy purple teeth smile

The second wine this afternoon enjoyed by a close friend and myself was the 2010 Chateau LaConfession St.Emillion Grand Cru.

The nose has savory notes of bing cherries, blackberry, stone, vanilla and smoke.

On the first sip gave notes of black cherry, blackberry, spice, mocha, coffee and a herbaceous note that I really like.

This wine has medium + acidity with medium + fine tannins that fill out the mouth nicely. This offering is 71% Merlot and 29% Cabernet Franc a typical right bank blend.

A very nice continuation of a wonderful afternoon with a close dear friend.

Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Modern style yet with nice restraint. Drinking nicely right now.

Rustic and backward. A huge disappointment for the 2010 vintage.
