Lovely everyday Bordeaux. Balanced, nice tannins, astringent finish. Hold for up to five more years.

I rarely visit the Right Bank but that may be about to change. This inexpensive bottling of Merlot and Cab Franc serves up a juicy blend of forest mushrooms with deep plum accents. Thirty minutes in there’s a mild tannic grip that suggests this casual brasserie red has the potential to happily reward with a few more years in the cellar. Careful: its ALC is 14% that you’ll simply blow right by.

Upon opening, a wonderful fruity nose with ripe berries and wet stones. Tastes a little dry and ever so slightly tannicy. Fruity like a Rhone wine. Quite good.

Great bottle... surprising pop to it for a French wine, but nonetheless an excellent purchase. Just smooth enough and just enough zing to make you remember it well.

Nice drinking. A bit thin for my taste but ok. May get better with some more age on it.
