Translucent violet, aroma of earth and leather. Swirl brings more leather as well as blackberries. Taste is fruity, quite a bit of acidity and tannins, more than I prefer. Light-to-medium body, long (but not the smoothest) finish. It paired well with a dry-rubbed skirt steak. I wouldn't recommend drinking this by itself.

I enjoyed this wine (2008 vintage), there was a nice minerality & gravel in the aroma, & a deep long lasting taste of black cherry. Good red colour w tawny edge.
