The nose is a bit sour, but not the taste. While not turned, this wine is too old. No fruit but plenty of tannins left. 2004 vintage

Underrated year. High mineralogy that reduced with decanting. Currant flavored tobacco. Paired it with tuna tartare and grilled octopus...nice.

Sumptuously smooth. Excellent balance of fruit, tannin (soft) and acidity. Probably at its peak, don't keep!
