On point. This was yummy. Not a syrupy mess. Nice viscosity. Honeysuckle but not overwhelming.

A good, not great bottle showing burnt orange peel, fig and caramel notes with a dusting of spice on the finish. Somewhat tired, but an interesting glass nonetheless.

Odd off oak notes. Same on day 2. Not sure if this was just awkward or flawed.

This is a wonderful ending for the evening. A delicious Sauternes from a great vintage.

A beautiful color of dark golden honey.

Full bodied and oily with medium plus acidity.

Sweet on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing honey, yellow apples, spices, pears and tropical fruits.

Nicely balanced and delicious by itself or with food. I paired it with liver Pâté.

Needs 30 minutes to open up properly, so be patient.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

The 09 is tasting great but I think I prefer the 11. This one has some really nice texter and this creamy thing going on. But the 11 is just so beautiful and tropical. Good thing I have both! :)

Deep gold verging on amber. Sweet vanilla, a healthy dose of coconut, Xmas spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice..., Graham cracker, butter cookie, passion fruit candy, lemon candy, honey, saffron, VA- geranium, creme brûlée, caramel, gravelly minerality, forest floor. High acid and long finish.

Damn amazing wine so solid and so much flavor with a nice bit of acid paired up with Food and Wines’s apple hand pie from scratch. Stunning!
