Petit Guiraud Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Solid second wine for Guiraud.

Honey, apricot and peach nose. Follows through to the palate. Lacks enough acid to rate higher.

2011 was a great vintage is Sauternes and this second petit wine is doing well. I will admit that I had far better Sauternes but for the price tag the quality is very nice. This second wine is produced since 1982, it a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semilion, light gold, nose of honey, sweet ginger, apricot, peach and light mineral, medium body, round and smooth with pleasant acidity, sweet yet fresh finish, my score 87, drink to 2020

Nice value Sauternes with apricot and almond flavors.

Well balanced with notes of honey, apricot, and lime.

Favorite dessert wine. Nose of honey and apricot, smooth finish and light mineral earthy flavor lingering.

Pale yellow, notes of apricot, pineapple and honey, medium body with balanced acidity, not overly sweet, elegant smooth finish, great for a second wine.
