Finally get to open this 2008 #chateauguadet on our 11th wedding anniversary. Even an hour after opening it wasn’t ready so after 24 hours it’s lovely - quintessential #stemilion, strongly subtle cassis and forest floor on the nose. Fine well-integrated tannins mid-taste, liberal acidity in the palate and a finish as long as a serpent’s tail. It’s kinda of cool this 175 year old estate was restored to #grandcruclasse status in 2008.
