Nothing like a good bottle of claret after a long hike w/friend. Dont seem to think was a good vintage but w/a good maker—-drinking nicely now. Black currants, cassis, gritty tannins, acidic lift but all integrated. Decant/ pour carefully

Deep ruby coloration. Very little translucency. On the nose, cherry, blackberry, currant, forest floor, truffle. On the palate, smooth and full bodied with notes of cherry, currant, blackberry, forest floor, truffle, minerals/gravel and an incredibly long, never ending finish of minerals/gravel and forest floor/earthiness. An outstanding representation- not my favorite style of wine to drink, but excellent nonetheless.

Based on day 2. Still vibrant good depth. For me this producer always exceeds expectations and the price to value is always great. A very under appreciated bottling.
