Vintage 2000 / Italian tiles colour at the rim. Bouillon. Tobacco. Eucalyptus. Plums. Cedar. Rondeur and refinement. I swallowed t before thinking ‘spit it out’ when tasting it 🤭

Dense black fruit wrapped in cigar box, with minerality, balancing acidity & impressive length. Great Pauillac from a great year. Tastes like an adolescent. No hurry here.

Excellent wine, needs to be open well before eating and put in a carafe. Wine changes as you eat, tanning a not too strong.
