Thoroughly enjoyed this Saint-Émilion wine from Château Grand Corbin. Vintage 2012. ABV 13%.

It was medium ruby with a secondary garnet hue. Medium(+) intensity of developing aromas and flavors, including, baked cherry, black currant, plum, strawberry primary notes alongside secondary, and anise notes of nutmeg, clove, vanilla, and tertiary notes of leather and earth.

The aromas and flavors were well-integrated and smooth. The tannins were soft but present. Acidity was medium. The finish was medium.

It was easy to love now and I’m sure it has life ahead of it still.

Deep ruby hue, subtle garnet, fuchsia rim variation. Black fruit on the nose, such as plum, black cassis, and baking spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and molasses, anise, and leather. #rightbankbordeaux #chateaugrandcorbin #merlotblend
