Subtle but well balanced. The nose is what makes this wine.

Good Cab. Smelling it is like opening a pencil box. Good notes of graphite, cedar, and blackberry with good viscosity and a good little finish.

Honorable and pleasant 90% cab 10% merlot. I’d get to that vintage to drink now

-03 was a pretty good year on the left bank. This 16-year-old wine has great concentration, its age slightly evident from color and rim; the nose is large, dusty, earthy and minerally notes around the dark fruit, green apple, and other (good) pyrazine notes; mouthfeel is round with good structure of high acids, frontoftheteeth tannins, and likely higher than indicated alcohol, not so much fruit, and a long mushroomy earthy finish. Worked wonders with my pasta bolognese.
