Very good, budget-minded Bordeaux. Perfect w grilled filet. Even stood up to a vinegar chimichurri. Feels more of Cabernet family than merlot, with slightly leafy dark fruit and a hint of herbal undertone. Drinking great now at age 9.

Solid, good value, nonspoofy Bordeaux. Nose of dry underbrush, dark minerality, cassis. Deeply flavored, if a bit simple. Drinking at what I think is its peak right now.

Great blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with powerful red fruit aromas well-balanced with woody notes. Rich in tannins giving it an excellent colour. Would strongly recommend a visit to the Château too - www.fontesteau.com
