2016 vintage. A rare white from Listrac (that can only be labeled Bordeaux Blanc, as the Listrac appellation does not allow white wines). A blend of Sauvignon Blanc (60%), Sémillon (25 %) and Muscadelle (15%)
Light yellow. Intense perfume combining Sauvignon grassiness, Sémillon exotic fruit and Muscadelle grapey aromatics. Ripe and round, with enough acidity to balance the fatness of the 2016 vintage that generally fared much better for the reds. Lemon confit sweetness in the long finish. Another very good wine from the Chanfreau family. Abv. 13%.

Beware the white wine of listrac. The AOC only accepts red wines so this is why this one is labelled as a "bordeaux": a blend of sauvignon muscadelle and semillon. Still a bit young but refreshing and astonishing. It stayed about one year and a half (just like the reds) in barrels which gives a certain taste of vanilia and butter. The hardcore natural wines fans won't like it because of that but this is enjoyable wine. I recommand to let it breathe one hour before drinking if possible in a decanter to enjoy it at its best

Sometimes a forgotten half bottle can be a great surprise! From lost in the cellar to a great pairing with fake nicoise at home, this has the texture and honey that I want out of my white Bordeaux along with racy SB snap. Yum!

Listrac vineyards, tastes more like muscadet with oak.

Really lovely, complex wine. Light acidity, light citrus, lightly buttery, with peaches. Versatile wine...good alone, with fish, with Mexican, etc,

Lemon, white flowers on the nose. A buttery and acid driven palate. Interesting wine

Smell of honey, flowers, and caramel. Year and a half in oak clearly noticeable but not offensive. Kiwi, orange peel, tanginess. Toasted marshmallow and v light almond. I mean the nerds aren't into oakiness but this is serious wine. Muscadet-esque
