St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Blend of 71% Merlot and 29% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby red color with aromas of red berry fruits and notes of floral and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currants and plums with tobacco and woodsy spice. Lively acidity, firm dusty tannins, nice balance, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak and herb spice.

A fav for decades. Magrez knows his stuff. Dark red fruit. Balanced acidity and tannins, the latter are soft and ripe. 2018. Drinking beautifully.

Drinking much younger than its age showing dark red fruit, berry, graphite with a perfumed nose of menthol, spice & tobacco notes.

Fairly impressive, of course, it was pretty hard to make bad wine that vintage, nice property, underrated.

Nose is strong in acid. Maybe some unripe cherries. Light in body with strong acidic fruit. Overall.... Amazing.

Sun-dried tomatoes, plum. Lavender. Modern and polished. Mint. Creamy and fresh. Rhubarb and fig. Fine acidity. Warm stones. Mineral. Rich style, maintaining a subtle tension.
