Floral and spice on the nose. Stewed dark red fruits on the palate. Some tertiary flavors of leather are starting to emerge.

Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and notes of blossom spice. On the palate black cherry and red plums with tobacco and woodsy spice. Lively acidity, firm tannins, nice balance, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak and herb spice.

St. Emillion blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). Deep garnet color with purple highlights. Rich aromas of ripe plum, currants and dark cherry fruit with hints of red and purple flowers, wet loamy soil and tobacco leaves. Same fruits on the pallet with a noticeable hint of blueberry, peppermint, black tea and cedar. Tannins are quite fine but the acidity is slight off. Just a tad astringent. Might have needed a bit more bottle age. Thank you for sharing, Sean S.

A brilliant effort, the 2016 Château Faugeres shines all the way through. Deep ruby colored, the nose reveals whafts of tobacco, violets, red and black plum, blackcurrant, mint, leather and forrest floor. Full bodied with boatloads of ripe and polished tannins, the wine closes with a long, intense finish. This is a fantastic wine from Château Faugeres. Drink now until 2041.
