St. Julien, Médoc, Bordeaux, France
Blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral spice and smoky cedar notes, aged 12 months in 60% new barrels. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry and black cherry with cacao, tobacco, licorice and smoky spice. Fine tannins, well balanced on long finish, ending with fruit, cedar, smoke and earthy mineral character. Very nice, will age well but wait a few more years to really enjoy!

Fine smooth tannins, good balance, long finish with fruit and earthy oak spice ending. Drinking well, good value.

Very impressed with this second wine from Ducru. As I recall, 14 was a lousy vintage in Bordeaux. Soft, sweet and round with moderate tannins. Lovely length on the mid-palate. Love it…

This is the real deal. Candy notes with plumb cashews and a nice bacon smoke. Tantalizing cork that won't let you drink it and a nice odor of yesterday.
