Gigondas Red Rhone Blend

Mostly barrel in a good way. Would like a little more fruit.

Rhône Valley wine sandwiched between Côtes du Rhône and Chateauneuf regions. Black raspberries, dried herbs, dried meat (?) or something like that in the nose, with mouth drying tannins, and tastes of plums and raspberries.

2016. Interesting but clumsy wine that never quite finds its balance but it’s a n intriguing flavor fest.

This is a lovely wine. Really enjoyed paired with short ribs and potatoes.
