A rush of dark cherry, plum, lavender, spice, menthol, rose petal, juniper berry and dried herbs makes a strong opening statement. Incredibly earthy and bretty, almost to a fault, but still charming with classic Cab Franc aromas of tobacco and blackcurrants. Light bodied, zingy acidity, and slightly stemmy tannins.

Vintage 2012 / Very good domain, same for the wine. Very true to type Saumur with lots of minerals in the smell, red fruit, medium colour and more structure than you would say after a few sips. Love this cabernet franc, terrific drinking on a sunny day out of the fridge.
