Vintage 2000 | A gem from a little visited part of the cellar. Beautiful tertiairy smell: autumn forrest and impression of truffle. Velvety taste, a Point. I love this right bank cuvée from du Grand Barrail, 100% Merlot. Paired with Liege Salad.

Vintage 1999 | if you like mature wines, if you have a cellar, but not an endless budget, it is a search to find unknown but reliable wines, which are pearls after maturation. Right bank wines provide solutions. This 1999 is wonderful: lots of red fruit combined with minerals, solid structure, good balance. Two years ago I put 2015 in the cellar.

Vintage 2005 / still powerfull and not totally a Point... red fruit, taste with good concentration. 13 y old #merlot quite velvety taste. #Blaye #bordeaux that is comparable with Saint Emilion - in my modest opinion 🙃 I love it.

Vintage 2004 - it’s quite comforting and energizing to drink a good bottle from my cellar after a hard day’s work. This special cuvee from old merlot vines exceeds my expectations: very rich and complex smell with tobacco, vanilla, morello cherries and a taste of minerals, beautiful ripened. What a great effort of grower Denis Lafon this is, it makes me só happy. #bordeaux #merlot #cotedeblaye #petitbordeaux Partnered it with a deer hamburger.
