Château du Chatelard
Cuvée Les Vieilles Vignes Beaujolais-Villages Gamay
Closer in style to the type of Beaujolais I've known in the past. It's alright. But just alright. Light bodied and a bit flat.

There is something more than cherrie on the nose….and I cannot place but I like it.
On the palette… just as pleasing.
We need to have a bottle in the near future.

I don't know if the correct wine was matched to this. I also don't care.

May 20th, 2016For a non gamay fan this one slapped me good. Thought of a light Pinot at first but suddenly all of the characteristics of gamay surfaced but in this one I liked them. So from now on I would open my mind a little more. Second time I enjoy a gamay quite a bit, first was with Cuvée Corcelette Morgon 2010, now this.
