This is a unusual Gamay. Drinks more like a Pinot - intriguing. Enjoyable and I’d definitely drink again. Didn’t have the freshness and liveliness that I like. 13.5% ABV but I recommend it to try.

My favorite Beaujolais estate. Tariffs have fucked me on this one but they will be back. Zero carbonic. Stunningly aromatic nose. Deep cherries, berries, spice and smoke. Floral, ethereal and deep. So layered. Amazingly complex. Smells like elite Burgundy. How is this estate not well known is beyond me. Likely the aspirational pricing. Palate is a dream. So juicy, nimble and complex. In a perfect place. So elegant and pure. Haunting. Volnay like. So fine and refined. Awesome red fruits that explode in the mouth. High class silky tannins and great structure. Very very long.

Palate is extraordinary. So pure and so deep, wonderful freshness and amazing dense but sappy and energetic fruit. Such impressive structure and purity. So clean. Finish is amazing and lasts and lasts. Floral and insane inner mouth aromas and juicy as all can be. The texture, the noble ripe tannins and are the standouts. As well as the creamy mid palate that finishes so juicy and so full of tiny dark berry fruit intensity. The finish surges with mineral and soil tones. That granite pops. One of the best MAV I’ve ever had.

Very very dirty violets, dark cherries, plums. Dirt. Pastilles. Consistently amongst the nicest Beaujolais there is. Too bad, have you seen the prices? Meaty would be apt, medium full on the palate, quite savory and dark. Mysteriously, they bottle it seems the same wines in both burgundy and Bordeaux bottles. Anyone with knowledge?

N; like violet pastilles. Swampy funk, blows off, stones, interesting blue/black
with a touch of garrigue.
P:Lithe, somewhat saline upon entry,
trips over the tongue, such nice mouthfeel. Blackberries, slightly prickly tannins, this wine could go 10 more years. The panoply of flavors hints at tomato leaf, black fruits, with that ever present chewy tannin structure lurking.
Mind you, we PnP this one.

Almost meaty, bog, Black plums,some tobacco.
P: Medium bright, slightly grainy entry, tarry, great inner mouth energy, very tactile, chewy, liquorice., bark. Really nice new bojo.
