From a warm vintage, medium lemon color with aromas of white fruits and wet stone aromas. On the palate flavors of ripe apple & peach, very complex, lively acidity. Long finish ending with mineral and sweet honey character, should age well, but great now!

Massively woolly upon opening, but settles in nicely with some air. Very mineral-driven with some baked apple

Medium bodied, viscous mouthfeel, baked apple, wet wool, great acid, slightly nutty and hints of citrus.

Beautiful. Green apple, citrus, and a hint of sea salt on the palate.

It took about three nights for this one to shed the funk. Very leesy and phenolic at first, displaying odd chemical, wet wool and hair salon aromas. Good acid and rich mid palate. Bruised apple character that I sometimes encounter even in young Savennières. Fairly one-dimensional fruit character right now but I would bet on it to develop well with age. At the moment a complicated wine that is still finding itself.

A tough wine to like and I'm not sure I want to wait to my 8o's to drink it. Savennieres are the enigma for Chenin Blanc, hard to understand and hard to like. I think good wine shouldn't hurt or be so dank - 3 bottles tasted since released in Berkeley.

Little bit of diacetyl (butter) on the nose with a musky background low level melon fruit found the diacetyl to be a little distracting
