On a visit to Saumur came across this bad boy, so we had to visit the winery next, only opened in Ireland amd tatse just as good as in Saumur, classic Cab Fav, everyday drinking m, superb.

A really great Saumur, no shrinking violet here. Chocolate dust, deep blueberry and blackberry notes, li'l smoke and garrigue. Check plus.

Not the most complex Cab Franc in the world, but it's quite quaffable and, though in modest quantities, it's all here - slight pyrazine, a delicate clay-like earthiness, green herbs, cherry fruit.
