Way to early to open this, even after decanting. Wish I had the will power to let it open you 2-3 days.

Another monthly WTF Group meet up. Northern Rhône vs Southern Rhône, blind as usual.

Absolutely a dead ringer for northern Rhône based on the bloody meat, iron and olive notes. Enjoyable to taste this against a Southern Rhône from the same producer and same vintage!

One of the rarest single site viallere '07 bottlings from Louis Barrol @saintcosme ! A very special treat shared with visitors to the cellar. Thx

Zou nog steeds een paar jaartjes mogen liggen… qua tannines.

Semi-sweet at first sip, slightly bitter aftertaste, notes of raspberry in between, pairs nicely with venison and other well-seasoned lean meats.

This wine fucks. The I popped the bottle and decanted before heading to the gym. When I came home the whole house smelled like BBQ. There was a mystical blue/black fruit mid palette and the finish was a 100% game. Wonderful wine. The tannins were firm but reinforcing the experience not detracting from it.

This had lots of floral, spice & meat notes showing black cherry, raspberry, cured meats, dried herbs, olive, licorice & violets.

Elegance abounds in this phenomenal wine with distinct notes of lead pencil, rose petal, and black fruit. The wine is extraordinarily juicy and even a bit gamey. I could've let this age for another decade but circumstances have arisen in such a way that compelled me to open it this evening. I'm not disappointed. Huge thanks to @Ted Corvey for this bottle! Cheers!
