Wednesday Wine Committee “Founder’s Day”, honoring those who started this tradition back in the ‘70s. What an incredible group and tradition they started!
My guess was right bank Bordeaux. Very extracted up front. Didn’t get much peppercorn/spicy red fruit on this up front like most CdPs. Older bing cherry, herbal spice and some cedar. I enjoy their Gigondas bottle the most.

A dark brooding CdP. Deep fig and iron, with a decent dose of oak. Not my favorite style for a Grenache based wine, but good nevertheless. Wished for a little more freshness.

Well balanced good acidity. This producer is growing on me. Seems to have a good amount of Syrah? Concord grape 🍇 like flavor. Good amount of tannins. Should be awesome with all kinds of stuff from the grill.

Tart cherry, cranberry, tobacco, olive, new leather, nice structure and soft acid. Wonderful with grilled lamb chops and romesco. Love love love
