Château de Pizay
Morgon Gamay
Clean and fresh aromas and flavors. Cherries and raspberries with a hint of pepper spice. There is a bit of texture but not overly big. Light bodied and a very Easy drinker. Good stuff! Revisited on 8/24/19- Still good stuff! Revisited again on 6/30/21. Getting bolder and fuller. Aging beautifully!

May 10th, 2019Perhaps following a Sunier was a bit unfair. Always an enjoyable bottle, just a bit fruit- and (brief) acid-forward in comparison. Alternatively, that gives it enough character to stand up to slightly heartier pairings.

Jan 27th, 2019Like slightly funky strawberry preserves. Very tasty and quite rich but not quite what I expect from a Morgan

Jan 15th, 2019Slightly spicy gummy bear nose that is reflected in the front palate. Still a little tight, so a bit prickly. Brief, solid acid, and a vegetal finish. Somewhat thin, but still velvety.
