Good little wine. Clean, pure and focused. Not trying to be something that it isn't. Lovely espresso and dark chocolate notes on the pallet.

Big aromas of dark fruit, dill and smoke. Same dark fruit along with cranberry on the pallet with notes of smoked meat, dark chocolate and coffee. Smooth tannins, yet very bold. A bit astringent, sour and sharp, which brings the rating down a bit.

Fair table wine blend. Not jammy. Not complex. May need to age more still (drank a 2014 bottle). Would try again at $10-12

A mutt of Rhone and Bordeaux. Not natural companions but nonetheless well balanced and the best $14 French red I’ve ever had.
