Dark ruby (not translucent) color. Earthy aromas of mushroom, freshly tilled soil, and brown leaves. Interesting pallet that features black berry/raspberry fruit with hints of smoked herbs and spices. Touch of violet on the medium finish. Extremely smooth tannins and good balance. Solid effort.
