I have really been loving Gamays as of late. Perhaps just needing something quaffable versus a structured and complex. This Beaujolais, however, was a little more assertive, a little more muscular - like a wine that’s been working out with a nose that reminded me of tree bark and potting soil. The palate was juicy and full of raspberry and sour cherry. Delightful.
