WNH NY, 2021.
From magnum.
Extracted to say the least. Bricking has started. Nose displayed smoke, wood, cigar box. Palate was big with olive tapenade and overripe cherries. Caught this just in time. Excellent acid profile. Always sweet and dense. This is a Rhône heavyweight for sure. 750’s from this vintage should be consumed. Mags will last, but no further improvement opportunities.
From my cellar.

AG nailed the notes for this wine, so I won’t duplicate. But on the nose and palate, I also detect kirsch liqueur, hints of licorice and anise. This wine has not moved since it was bottled. It presents with purity and power. Easily possesses another 20 years of runway ahead of it. Sheer ecstasy in a glass. My favorite Rhône producer.

This region needs to be updated to show that it’s La Clape and not the one listed. Decanted for 30 minutes and opened up very nicely from a closed off and wine to something that had real light, leather and tobacco and maraschino cherry flavors to it. Definitely mellowed quickly and can’t be sitting around waiting but enough structure to support a lot of those meaty and cigarbox flavors.

Harsh edges have shed and this won’t get better. Drink up.

This wine has it all! A nose to die for, multy layered, very long aftertaste. So smooth and sexy.....and still a baby. Find one, buy it and PARTYTIME! 🍾💄💃🕺

Easily the best wine of the night. Amazing. Bold, tar, tobacco, vanilla, crazy finish and a sated nose. Yum. Still some more life ahead, decant heavily.

Without any doubt a 3 digit wine for me! Perfect score! Very creamy rich Perfectly balanced wine. Still very fruity, dark Forest fruit. Wooow what a brutal sexy lady!

Killer tasting at Spectrum last week: Ponsot, 82 Certan de May, Philloponat, Joly, l'Ermite, but this stole the show. Great wine.
