Dark ruby red with purple hue, ripe plum, black berry, black cherry, black cassis, and prune. Slightly menthol with dried savory herbs notes, licorice, star anise. Nose is intriguing, has similar aroma resemblance to Sichuan peppercorns and red peppers. Cinnamon bark. Med to med plus tannin, med plus acidity. Flavor and goes wonderfully with spicy Sichuan boiled beef. Great wine for its price! 85% Malbec, 10 % Tannat, 5 % Merlot.

I made the mistake of not decanting before tasting this one. It improved immeasurably after gently decanting (not through an aerator!).
It is a very sophisticated/on the dry side taste for a Malbec and I prefer Argentinan Malbecs.
This was very enjoyable and rich, complex and rewarding to drink but if you like plummy/jammy Argentinan Malbecs this won't compare too favourably.

16.5/20 (91/100) Симпатичный аромат с нотами вишни, ежевики, шелковицы и ванили. Тельное с высокой кислотностью и интенсивными, но бархатистыми по текстуре танинами. Чёрные ягоды и инжир во вкусе. Очень хорошо!

Jun 25th, 2017(16.5/20) Тёмно-рубиновый цвет. Довольно насыщенный аромат с нотами ежевики, красной сливы, ментола, черного перца и сырого гранита. Интенсивные, немного сухие танины. Продолжительное послевкусие. Элегантное, не столь мощное для Каора вино.
