If you can find a better Grenache/Syrah blend for $14, buy it. Vinified on the Avenue Albert Einstein in downtown Montpellier.

Deep dark color; nose of dusty black cherries. In mouth huge tannin ; fruit flavors of blackberry. Tannin is excessive.

Dense purple core & Brickish meniscus. This wine is slightly past it's prime, but still enjoyable. Slightly oxidized, cooked plum & chalky, coffee notes on the nose. Slightly stewed blackberries & on the palate there is a mouth filling chewy coffee bean & cocoa character. Acidity is medium, tannins are medium plus, but tame on the finish. Complexity is medium. So long soldier.
